Headlight Repair
We all depend on headlights to light up the road ahead. Bulbs will wear out in time and will need replacement. A bulb's lifespan varies dramatically from 500 hours to 30,000 hours, depending on the bulb type. They can also wear out faster due to problems in the electrical system, worn wiring, or water leaking into the headlight recess.
Driving with a burnt-out bulb could get you a citation and restrict your ability to safely see at night. We can replace your bulbs and upgrade them to longer-life bulbs if you require them. We can also repair any issues like damaged wiring or electrical faults, and your headlights will work perfectly again.
Rectifier Replacement
The rectifier is a tiny component inside the alternator that converts AC to DC. Your alternator spins at high speed to produce electricity for your vehicle's systems. This produces magnetic energy, which is captured and converted to AC by the stator. Your vehicle systems can only work on DC, and a failed rectifier will rapidly shut down your electrical system.
The alternator continues to produce AC, but the systems will switch to drawing DC from the battery. This will rapidly deplete the battery's stored energy, and your car will come to a halt. A battery can only sustain your vehicle's systems for approximately 40 minutes, possibly less, depending on the number of active systems. Our technicians will replace the rectifier, and your alternator will again supply usable electricity.
Engine Diagnostic
An engine diagnostic is a simple, fast way to diagnose issues in your car so they can be repaired. Since the 1980s, vehicles have had computers installed to reduce the amount of work a driver has to do. They automate many vehicle processes, allowing you to focus on your driving. Sensors are connected to every vehicle component to supply information, so the computer can make decisions.
The sensors also inform the computer of any problems with their connected component. The computer logs any issues with an error code and will illuminate the relevant warning light on your dash. We use a diagnostic scanner to read these codes, enabling our technicians to quickly identify the problem. A major benefit of a diagnostic is reduced repair costs due to the time saved in finding the problem.
